Hi all.

The 4th of January our Bachelor project were finished and were turned in to the school.

I think it was okay. :-)

On the 26th of January I’m going out sailing again. This time it is for a rather long time. 3 month and 22 days to be precise. I’m going to miss my daughter and my girlfriend very much!

This time I’m going to Freja Atlantic which is a medium product tanker. I’m going to embark in Rotterdam, Holland.
Have a nice spring.

Greetings.

Home from Ivar, but going to Ditlev.

Just a few days ago, I came back from 9 weeks on Ivar Lauritzen.

I will within a few hours update the gallery with some new pictures, but as well upload the diaries I wrote out there. It is in Danish though. I suggest that you’ll use Google translator to translate them if you want to read them, and you can’t read danish.

In another news I’m goint to embark Ditlev Lauritzen next monday. Ditlev Lauritzen is a sister ship to Ivar Lauritzen, and they sail the exact same route… :-/ I did hope that I should go to a tanker, but as it is a short trip of only 6 weeks, I’ll accept it. Hopefull It will be a tanker next time.

Great news.

I have been told by the company, that I’m going to embark Ivar Lauritzen at Port Hueneme, at July 13Th 2009.

Ivar Lauritzen is a small reefer ship that sails between Ecuador, Mexico and USA, and sails with bananas and citrus fruits.

I am going to be away for 12 weeks, and I look much forward to learn more about this nice ship.

Smoke diver. My new title.

As a sailor you also need to be able to remove fires.

I think it is quite obvious that is isn’t good with fire on a ship, so were god a week at a fire facility called “CF Gaarden”.

The first 3 days were a “normal” smoke-diver course, and the last two were dedicated a fire chief (brandleder) education.

It was really funny, although it were extremely cold. We only had a few minutes, each to shut of a fire, and then we had to wait, wet and cold, before we could try again.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

  • Extremely first-aide in all situations
  • loads of other things.
