About me

Bourn in Denmark in April 1983.

From 1989 to 1997 I went on Sct. His school in Odense, Denmark, but at the beginning of 8th Class I switched to Odense Friskole since Sct. hans school did not meet the standard, that you would expect from a school. I went on Odense Friskole until 1999 when I took a year on a “efterskole”. (high school). That year is one of my greatest experiences, and also one of the things that has shaped me most as a person. It was also at that time, that I first time heard about the maritime educations.

After the year on the “highschool” I took a year to HTX (higher technical education) in Odense, but I was not ready for the high level, so I switched to a HF of Mulernes Legatskole. I finished that in June 2003, and then I worked full time at Burger King in Odense until to April 2004 when it burned down.

After a short stay at Mc. Donalds I started my education at Kogtved August 2004. I was employed by Maersk, which paid for books, etc. January 2005: I started at the tool school. All students have a basic introduction to welding, leeds etc. In July 2005 I went out on my first trip. Great trip, but read more about that in the diary section

I was home in early December and began on SIMAC - Navigation School in January 2006 where I also started as a weekend watch on kogtved. I were employed at kogtved for a year. Entire 2006 went to JO2 and JO3. Unfortunately, I sacked a couple of subjects and tried them again in early 2007. However, I realized that the engineering-technical subjects were not my cup of tea, so before the semester was over, I looked into the single navigator education. Maersk takes no single student, so had to find me another shipping company to pay my books. After a few month I was lucky enough to get a contact with J. Lauritzen, where I still work now.

At august 2007 I started on the single navigator education, were I'm still am, now. In February 2009 I became a father, which is why I took 3 month of leave, so I could have some time with my daughter. In July 2009 I’m leaving for my final pratical experience. I expect to be done with my education in early 2010.

Right now I live with my girlfriend Thilda in our shared apartment on AP Moller College in Svendborg.
